Midget 16AA Stumbles at Nationals
The Midget 16AA team ran into a wall the first game at Nationals being defeated 5 - 1 by Madison Elite in a game they completely gave away with 3 major errors causing goals and two others where they were simply dominated in their own zone. The team rallied back and got a penalty shot in the second period and had a good third period run but it was not meant to be. The following game was vs. Boulder Bison, an aggressive and hard skating team although not very skilled. The Heat had a tie going into OT and a powerplay but failed to deliver and lost the game with a man advantage. The team had to win the third game in regulation and once again had a tie going into the last two minutes and once again had a one man advantage and once again got scored on and lost the game. "We were not delivering on Special Teams offensively and the go-to-guys were non-existent. I was happy with my goaltending and i though the defense did a great job off the puck although when we got the puck, it was turnover and unforced error heaven. Very frustrating to watch but the boys are very young and this was their first appearance on a major stage. Hopefully they got to dance of their jitters and will be ready next time. - Coach Peter Torsson"

Travel Hockey News
Between the Wolves and the Express Hockey Clubs, travel hockey surely has alot of talent developing. The Wolves 16A team was a #1 seed this season followed by the Dragons and the Express. The 18A the Wolves and Express are top 4 in the playoffs. The Bantam A Express was a #1 seed but had a disappointing showing at playoffs and was eliminated. The PeeWee A Express was a number 5 seed for the season and was eliminated in the playoffs. The Squirt A Express team was a number 6 seed but was eliminated in the playoffs. Great job by two great clubs and we are looking forward to seeing you all in the future.
