Coaching Philosophy & Mission:
My coaching mission involves player hard work and skill development, while teaching all team members the details of the game of hockey.
I believe this philosophy leads to success at any level. As a teacher by profession, I believe in teaching, communicating and developing players both mentally and physically in order to reach their full potential. This can be attained as players set high goals and work hard to achieve these individual and team goals, ultimately allowing players to reach the next level of competition.
During my involvement in hockey, the sport has taught me many valuable life lessons, allowed me to meet and continue to meet some great people and fulfilled my goal of playing hockey while completing my college education.
Coaching Experience:
I have two years coaching experience in the Southern California area, while coaching both Bantam and Midget age levels. I have worked and continue to work summer hockey schools in Saskatchewan, Canada for the past twelve years.
Playing Experience:
I have played and been around the game of hockey for over twenty years. I have personally played AA, AAA and tier II junior levels at Notre Dame College, a private high school located in Wilcox, Saskatchewan, Canada. From there, I received a college hockey scholarship to Manhattanville College located in Purchase, New York. I played at Manhattanville for four years and served as a graduate assistant for the hockey program while earning my Master's degree.
