Andrew Behshid
We want to congratulate Andrew Behshid of the Heat 16AA team who was selected to the Shattuck St. Mary's prep school at Faribault Minnesota. Andrew visited the school with his team this year where he enjoyed a 4 - 2 victory. Shortly thereafter, Andrew announced his interest in the school and after a solid performance while trying out for Shattuck, Andrew was selected to join the team for the 2010 - 2011 season. As customary at Shattuck, all students enroll and will be placed on a respective team after a two week tryout evaluation in the month of August. We wish Andrew the best and welcome him to participate in Heat events when he is on break. Coach Torsson adds "I am very happy for Andrew who had his eyes set on this school since our visit. He will be missed and hard to replace but it is great to see a player reach a goal and achieve success. I am sure Shattuck will be happy with him"

SCAHA Selects
Brandon Smith of the Heat 16AA team performed well at Regionals although his efforts came at a high cost after suffering a sprained ankle during the third game. Brandon managed to collect 3 goals and 2 assists in the 2 full games he played and felt he managed to show the evaluators what he is capable of. Brandon is currently waiting for MRI results on his ankle and hopes to return for the College Hockey Summit camp at Valencia on May 15th.
