PHILOSOPHY
Coaching Philosophy California Heat

To provide continuous on-and-off-ice instructions throughout the season focusing on the individual development of each player and how each player should implement those individual skills most efficiently within the teams environment. To teach each player a comprehensive road to success by instilling team concepts, strategies and fundamentals.

To instill a team oriented environment which conform to the overall health of the team over individual preferences.

To instill a "team-comes-first" mentality within each player where the ultimate goals of the team supersedes any individual goals of a player. To provide a course on how to achieve those goals clearly delineated to each player.

To recognize the importance of a coach's role in a youth hockey player's life by exhibiting great character that extend beyond the sport of hockey and expecting the same from the players in return. Recognizing the importance of education and its ability to create many more options while pursuing hockey to the furthest extent possible, if successful.

To function as a resource to furthering a players future career by promoting the players to other leagues, coaches, organizations and informing parents about the world of hockey subsequent to a career with the California Heat.

Clinics Are Heating Up
With over 45 attending players during the first PW/Bantam clinic and over 30 attending players during our first Midget clinic, the Heat is on in the Northern valleys. The coaches were "on fire" teaching at a 100mph pace and kept the players sweating through the hour.
