Coaching Philosophy

I am a firm believer that hockey is a teaching tool and opportunity for youth to learn the importance of hard work, sacrifice, and team work. My goal is to create a positive team environment where players are held accountable and challenged to continue to grow and improve. I want to push my players to want to better themselves both on and off the ice.

Reasons for Coaching

I grew up in Southern California and spent most of my playing days here. I first laced up the skates at 5 years old and fell in love with the game since. I spent most of my youth hockey days here, even being the captain of the first ever California Heat team. I was able to play at international competitions, juniors at a competitive level in the WSHL, and move on to play NCAA div 3 college hockey in Massachusetts. Playing hockey has introduced me to some of my closest friends all over the country, some of the greatest experiences I will ever have, and has made me a better person off the ice. When my playing career ended, I knew it was my responsibility to share my experience, knowledge, and love for the game with players.
